color

Update from many years later: I have no idea what color I had in mind, and can't remember, and I would take the poem off except for pure attachment to past.

----
Mr. Dye had the idea to represent a color in five lines with out using an object with that color. Do any of you guys know what color this is? Since this is my own perception of that color, it may not make sense to anyone else, or it might represent another color. What do you think?

I harbor hidden thoughts of profound purity,
Veiling them from all lest by
desired insight have come to know me,
and with that hidden delicacy
I bring comfort to that idle day

It feels like a lighter color. Yellow, perhaps.

I didn't have yellow in mind. It doesn't mean it can't be that to one person, though.

I think we're dealing with some synesthesia here. Basically, it is association in the brain of two unrelated sensory phenomenon. In this case, words or phrases and color. It is not consistent between individuals, however. For me, for example, the letter V is very bright orange, while for Jack Loveland it is a purplish color.

I'd like to hear what color you had in mind, though.

I was thinking of a deep shade of green. I also love black(eith this association)

Hmm, I was thinking of a lighter color as well. I think it was the association of purity with white. Green is interesting though. It is often a symbol of life.

I don't mean a dark color of green, I mean a deeper shade as in the hue; like mint(the plant)
